Seeking Ryan Gosling. A hot, 25-year-old club promoter is headed to everyone’s favorite zip code, and producers are looking to cast an actor with the charisma and swagger of Gosling’s “Crazy Stupid Love” character. In case that’s not aiming high enough, we’ll also meet an Ivy League-educated tech guy who can be a little ruthless — they’re looking, specifically, for someone like Justin Timberlake in “The Social Network.” Both these guys will be around for a while at the beginning of the season, if not longer. Timberlake and Gosling? Yeah, we’ll tune in for that.

Ausiello: He won’t be a regular but he will be what we call in the biz “strong recurring” — which is sort of like being a regular but with less commitment and (presumably) moolah.

Ausiello: I’m not saying whether he survives that horrific season-ending car crash, but here’s a tease: This guy plays a big role in the fallout from the accident. Now start decoding that shiz in the comments!

Ausiello: Aside from what we’ve already reported, no. But I can tell you to keep watch for Megan, a sweet 20-something who first shows up at a group therapy session but will be seen throughout the season.

Sarah: 90210 scoop is much-needed!
Aussie alert! The CW soap is looking for a ruggedly handsome and geeky (the perfect combination, no?) Australian to come in and swoop one of the main girls off her feet for several episodes. Also coming in is Kendall, an actress looking to jumpstart her career with publicity stunts. Something tells us Liam (Matt Lanter), a fellow thespian, might get into trouble with this one! Not enough 90210 scoop for ya? We’re hearing Trevor Donovan will return for at least three episodes, including the big 100th episode (the eighth of the season), as fan favorite Teddy. Wheeee!

90210 will hit a big milestone this year — 100 episodes! That’s no small feat in TV land, and what better way to mark the occasion than with Homecoming Weekend! Showrunners Patti Carr and Lara Olsen recently gushed to me about this super-packed episode when we hopped on the phone ahead of the show’s upcoming premiere on Oct. 8.

“We get to go back and re-live a few memories.” Carr said. “And we also have things getting bigger and more out of hand. We got to the Playboy mansion, we have musical performers, and some very revealing moments for our cast.” Also expect some “fan favorites” to pop up.

But, adds Carr: “It’s not just the clip show where they all remember and come out of it unaffected. They’re all profoundly affected by what happens.”

Another treat? Denise Richards, who, as EW previously reported, will appear as an alum-turned-socialite. “There’s so much happening in the 100th episode, I don’t know how we’re going to fit it all in one episode,” says Olsen. Carr jokes: “Maybe it will be a two-part 100th episode — 99.5/100.”

The 90210 season premiere is still a few weeks away — hurry up, Oct. 8! — but thanks to The CW, we have a better idea of what we can expect from the first episode of season five. For starters, Adrianna finds an unlikely roommate in Annie after the girls learn about Dixon’s “life-threatening” accident.

1. Adrianna cheats on Dixon with a guy named Taylor (Wes Brown) after spending some quality time with Carly Rae Jepsen.
2. Potential newlyweds Naomi and Max land in jail after their “big plans … go horribly awry.”
3. Liam decides to put his bar up for sale to raise the $200,000 he needs to buy Vanessa out of their contract. On the plus side, Navid offers Liam a chance to become his business partner.
4. Teddy is “overwhelmed” by the idea of fathering Silver’s baby.
5. As for Dixon, his status is described as “unconscious.”

After the numerous naked scandals on 90210 — Annie (Shenae Grimes), Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) have all fallen prey — you’d think the gang would learn not to take their clothes off on camera. But you’d be wrong. On the show’s Nov. 19 episode, a sex tape featuring Liam (Matt Lanter) and Lindsey (Peyton List) is discovered, and you’ll never guess who tries to leak it…

Navid (Michael Steger)! Yes, jealousy gets the better of Navid, and he arranges for the X-rated home video to be shown at the premiere of Liam’s next movie. (Wait, Liam and Navid fighting over a girl? This sounds… familiar.) Also, if you’re wondering who the F Lindsey is, you’ll get to know her on the Nov. 5 episode.

1. Riley (Riley Smith) tells Annie how he really feels about her, but she’s more interested in pursuing a relationship with Colin (Rob Mayes).

2. Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) and Alec team up to helo Max (Josh Zuckerman) save their company’s video game technology.

3. Taylor (Wes Brown) asks Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) to break up with Dixon, so they can be together.

4. After Dixon collapses, Adrianna learns he stopped taking his pain medication so he won’t develop another addiction.
